I got back from visiting my extended family outside of London yesterday and am sorry I went.  Everytime I go up there I come home feeling angry and disgusted. My two cousins are living with my aunt and uncle's family, because a year ago their mother died of cancer and their father abandoned them and left to chase the sunshine.  They have been in the care of my aunt and uncle ever since then.  However, the way they are treated disgusts me, they are treated like second class citezins and are constantly told they are not wanted and that 'life was great before THEY came to live with them'.  How can you say that to two children who mother died tr

Everyone I've ever spoken to, whether it be my family members, next door neighbour or random participants for my psychology research has at one time or another thought themselves to be in love.  I find this extraordinary considering no one can actually define love.  The dictionary I have beside me describes it as 'a feeling of great emotion and attachment aimed at a person or object'.  If that definition is correct, perhaps we are in love with many more things than me think.  I am very much attached to the new stiletto shoes I bought today (£39 - bargain!) so does that mean I am in love with them? As I sit here bopping my head along to up-beat songs, I can't help thinking about the things that have happened in Asia in the past few weeks. I was thouroughly offended by someone yesterday who told me that the tsunami was a sign from God, telling the world that Asia was wrong and the Western world was right.  She said it was a demonstration of God's disgust at the East and a sign to the West that they are on the right track.  I hate people like that, the whole thing was a monster attack on humanity; all of humanity.  People of all races and cultures died and if it really was a sign from some omnipotent God, then he wouldn't be one I'd like
